I'm hoping to be there either Friday or Saturday. I'll be there in a '82 Silver Corvette (as my car isn't running yet :( . So if you see a stray Corvette pull up next to you, don't freak out.

I don't think anyone can go out there and run. I think you have to be a member of a few certains clubs to run on the track.

anyone here should be able to go. It is free week after all. Besides just put down CoDSM for club if you need to. Is that correct Erron?

Sorta....
Dave has been there every year and Bob knows him. Anyone else either needs a club card or to be verified by a "known" member.
Hey, I can do that! If someone wants to come out and see what's it's all about.
I will be giving rides too!!

I'll bring my camera and take some in car footage :D. As long as Paul Rask doesn't get distracted by looking at his gauges I think he will stay on the track just fine :p

Those that are going to participate and run their car on the track please use common sense. When your brakes get mushy that is your car telling you its had enough.

Dave-you want to meet us at the house or just show up at the track?

I'd love to, but to make it I'd need to get to the springs today or tomorrow to finish the car. I could always take the bike but snow + bike = bad bad bad

No worries, come out to watch and catch rides!
Friday, they are saying 54 degrees, so the bike would probably be ok.

Hmm... 54 isn't bad, maybe siped tires and not take it too extreme...

You really should come out. If nothing else, at least to meet all the other road racers. We'll have fun for sure.

Kinda. Pretty much straight across 104th, through the corn fields, across the tracks...

So we'll see you at 9ish??

Yup I'll meet ya at your house around 9ish.

I'll have the truck. Less tempting to tear my brakes up again.

It was a little cool today but LOTS of cars were out. I think one class had 35 cars.

Marcus and I had a little mishap with his dad's vette. I swear hes trying to kill me hehe. Oh well I'm just a little sore on my left shoulder. Not sure if marcus' helmut hit me or what.

Riding in a RWD is much more fun than an AWD :). The AWD's pretty much go where you make them go. The RWD's you can drift more.

I think Erron pushed his quite hard today. His drivers side tires were nice and worn down.

Yeah, glad everyone is ok. It was a good day overall.:D
The morning session was a bit fast, especially one white Porsche. We get on the track for the first all out racer group mad dash for a full 20 minutes. A nice complement of cars today, Porsche, Miata, Ferrari, Viper, Honda, Mitsu, Alpha R., and a handfull of open wheeled monsters all going wheel to wheel, pass where you want/can session. I had Paul in the car with me with Aaron relaying track times via radio from the tower. The car felt great, the brakes felt great, temps held and after 10 or so laps we had managed to just about pass everything we could except for that darn Porsche. Aaron tells us we're in the 1.19's, but alais that silly Porsche was not to be had. (timed him later in the day at 1.16) The fast group was pretty full at 20+ cars and I must say going side by side inches apart is a bit hair raising. It's so much fun I can't stand it!! :D
After a ton of laps, the checker was out and it was all over. Back in the pits I noticed that the left front tire had significant wear and opted to swap it with a rear. Once removed, inspection shows a nice blister ring on the inside of the tire and my day was just ended as a runner. For the rest of the day, I watched Doug H tear through Porsches and Keith G tear up a few as well. I think everyone had a great day, I sure did.

I'm glad it was a pretty safe day. I would have come out but the wind was horrid for my bike :( I didn't even like bringing it from the garage to my place.
