It has been a habbit of mine to ask for everyones opinion of the site. So it is now that time again. Cast your opinions and what you would like to see changed or added.

No asking that members be band or stuff like that. This is strictly system related.

Thanks

I think its great! I really didn't like the classifieds section though, but the way that the "For Sale" forum is set up now is primo!

is there a way to save images in the photo album and then post them up or in your signature block without biting up too much of the boards space?

i've never been able to get "net hole shot" to work.

could we move the reviews to forums page? we might be able to get more use out of it in here.

Thats the tough part. I'd have to install another gallery. From what I've noticed while we have had the current one up is members that aren't here anymore or post anymore upload images that aren't related to the site. I'm trying to weed that out but if you have an image that you want in your sig you can e-mail it to me and I'll get it uploaded and in your sig.

Make sure you have activeX turned on and you should be set

That is doable but I'll have to re-enter all the reviews which isn't that hard.

personally, i think its great. i always thought it would be cool to see a "colorado's dsm of the month" sorta thing voted for by the members. but thats just me. i enjoy it quite a bit. i too am glad u got rid of the classifieds section. it confused me. but then again, im dumb

edit-another piece of my dumbness-do u have to have ur pics hosted somewhere online to put them up in a member gallery??

When you want to add pictures to the member gallery all you need to do is have them on your local machine. It will upload them automatically and re-size them.

The DSM of the month sounds like a good idea. Let me toy around with it a bit.

All times are kept on the server in GMT. In your profile you can specify what timezone you are in. I'll see if I can get everyones set to MST.

I love RMDSM! This is definately the most usefull site I've come across. Other forums are filled with deuch bags that just like to talk shit all day; cough....buschur.....cough :) . It amazes me how smart some of you guys are; and I love the way no one bashes people around here. For instance when someone asks how to run 10's on pump gas, people actually explain why that isn't a plausable idea. I remember when someone on the B's forums totally flipped out at me for saying turbos get screwed over 2fold up here at altitude; he simply told me I didn't know what I was talking about. All it took to set things straight was a quote or two from Dave and Jake :) Remember when I came to this forum and I acted like a peice of shit to everyone? That's the norm at other forums and that atitude really pisses me off now.

Dave, thanks a lot for taking all the time to make this the best source for DSM tech around! Happy hunting everybody!

What this site has that most are lacking is guidelines. This site has a strict set on what you can and can't do. The ones that feel the guidelines are too harsh are the ones that don't register or keep quiet.

This site was built to eliminate the drama that happens on some of the local dsm sites. We have a Shit Talkers area for those that want to dig at each other. That forum isn't viewable to non-registered members or the search engines.

So far this month we have had 209,000 hits, 1560 unique visitors. I must say this is far up from last years numbers. Especially for mid month.

If there is anything you guys want added that would be benificial please post it. Currently I'm working on a top 10 dyno's section. I have it planned out now I just need to build it.

The more we put on this system the more we can get out of it. Every thread is put into an archive and is constantly updated. The search engines out there (Google, Yahoo, etc) go through this archive and allow users to search for topics. I think this month 10% of our traffic has come from search engines.

So the site is growing :) Lets keep it that way :)

I remember the first 6 months or so the site was up. There was new posts in every section, every day. It was probably more novilty than anything. Now you may get 1 new topic a day, or 2 or 3 replys. Aside from shittalkers and off topic forums, we post information. No spammers, no trolls.

All your commits are right on target. You guys do a great
job with this sight. Not just 24 hours ago I made a remark about the time being off, and poof, its fixed! (probally my problem anyway)

I know I've brought up club dsm before, but that web sight has
a few good things in it. Like the tech shed. Looking through the forums here I find twice as much info but its all spread out. Not that anything is wrong with that but maybe a "best of advice"
or a install type page. club dsm's home page is going on a year
now, thats not good. The retro look is great on hockey jersies.

I've never suscribed to or posted on forum before untill now.
everyone here makes it very easy and that is golden.
thanks dave

Actually I had thought about doing a discussions area but that would be hard to keep the noob's out of it and filter it out. If you go into the search box and type what you are looking for, more than likely it will come back with an exact match or tell you where to look.

I remember the first version of rmdsm when it came out. Slow, clunky, home built. Now we have a site that is much faster, contains LOTS of information, and it is code I purchased and modified to fit our needs. But its goin good :)
