Not having to, but without something like DSMLink or a standalone you'll loose a bit on the low end with tune-ability. And driveability suffers accross the spectrum with out said products.

Run the car the way it is right now until you can get DSMLink or an EMS.

I'll put it this way. I barely have to lean out my 720s on the evo16. That means its eating a lot of fuel for the air its giving me. An AFC isn't going to cut it.

all it takes is a chip to get big injectors back into happy land on a 1g. MUCH better than tuning via the AFC. Used to be no bigger than 660s with afc alone but now with chips it's no longer true.

Some day when I get time I'll make a post about tuning and why these different devices don't work in certain cases and how each product works so people can get a better idea of what best suits their needs.

Let me know what you want to know about chips Jake. I can do anything. Timing, fuel, etc.

Like DSMLink but with more work required and no on the fly adjustment. Very cool if you've got the skills and cheap!

660s are plenty for a 16g. If you are serious about going bigger in the future then get the 720s and a chip. ONLY get a chip from dsmchips.com at the moment. They are the only one I trust. There is some potential for local chip help but if you're in a hurry I'd order from DSMchips.com. Jeff is amazing and you'll get the support you need as well.

660s are plenty for an ordinary 16g. Personally, I would get bigger for an EVO16.

I have posted/logged airflow up here that most 20g/50trim guys are seeing.

The nice thing about DSM technology today is you can run what ever injector you want. I could run 1000ccs if I wanted too. I chose 720s for the expandability. I could run an FP Green or an FP 3052 and not have to worry about upgrading the fuel system.

Just food for thought.
