If we get enough interest I would be happy to work with a few other members and put together a dsm road rally. A few years back Hal set up a rally that was followed up with a dsm meeting I set up. Everyone that joined in had a blast! The rally started in aurora went up into red rocks and ended in westminster. Back then hal had the homey hook up at asylum and was able to get a bunch of prizes donated for the rally. How about this time we do a dsm poker run with cash pay outs based on the number of entry

The HP competition is the big meet of the summer. As far as I know CO.DSM isn't even planning anything.

for me its too much money, too heavy, and too hard to find in a good condition/ i hear that they are a bitch to work on also...... im not a big fan of the car...i drove one and the ride was great, awsome interior, the stock pull was ok but it just did not intrest me....if i had that money a 3z tt would be more justified.... not to mention a 3rd gen rx7........dsm fan but im all about the consumer reports and the best bang for my buck.....just my 2 cents...... im not downing the vr43k but i could find a better car for the money in my opinion........ AND WOTS UP WTIH THIS CAR MEET....i want to get this together folks.....let me know if you are interested and i will organize something.......even a carshow with a BBQ or something

Sure, I'll bring the TSi since the GSX is "in the gym" working out for the HP comp. ;)

The problem is right now some of us are doing our mid-season rebuilds. So that doesn't give us alot of time on the weekend. Even if we aren't in the garage, we are tuning.

Showing off the car is the furthest in my mind right now.

the tt 3/S cars are very fast, even stock; and they aren't too hard to find. My friend got luckey and found a '92 3Ktt with 52,000 miles on it a couple years ago and snatched it up right away for only $13,000. All we did was a K&N FIPK and a 3" cat-back and that thing hauls.

The whole 4000lbs with gas and a driver is the part about those cars that sucks, but I've seen 2G AWD DSMs weiging in at over 3400.

Is that 3400 with car and driver? Just car mine has everyoption you could get and weighed 3175 with the spare in and a half tank of gas. Its probably less now cause a few things arent in their anymore, but 3400 would be tough to hit without a sub and stuff in there.

Yeah, it was with driver and full custom interior, probably subs.

I'm just making a bullshit point about how heavy a DSM can be because 3KTT's are very fast regardless of their weight. They rule the streets, 1.6 and 1.7 60' have been achieved on the stock clutch with all that weight.

i would love a 3ktt for a daily, but they suck for upgrading/ working on..... not worth the money for racing.....awsome dailys though
