View Full Version : Am I screwed?

I changed the batteries in my palm pilot before they died to make sure the capacitors had some juice in them. Sure enough, my "DSM Pocketlogger" and 5 other programs were erased. I even changed the batteries in like 3 seconds flat.
I bought the palm and datalogger with the car, so I don't have it on a hard drive to upload it back on the palm. Am I fucked? Is there no way for me to get my software back? If I have to buy it, I am going to flip shit.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks everybody

DSMLink? I thought that had it's own logger.
I have the "Pocketlogger", I think it is made by TMO.
If I can get this software from those forums, please correct me.
Thanks

Oh, if someone can send me their software, that would help me out so much.
My e-mail is:

I can't wait to tune the car. Maybe 18-20psi on pump with the 50trim if I can get some logging software and start tuning:)
Please, if anyone with a logging program could send it to me, it would help out a lot.
Thanks a lot everyone

Please, anyone send me some software, I can't handle only running 15psi!
I'm so pissed, pocketlogger is damn expensive and I already bought the damn program!:(

The guys at Digital Tuning a.k.a. Pocketlogger have taken several steps to ensure that their software isn't pirated.
If you have a serial number of a cable (1) and the original e-mail address of the original purchaser (2), then you can get a new copy of the program along with an individualized activation code (3) for that particular copy of software. The copy of the software also will only fully install on a single palm (4) where the username matches what they have on file.
Kinda went overboard with the security, but I can see why they did it.

Hell yeah, I have the e-mail address of the origional owner and the cable is in my car.
Is there a way to call them, or do I have to do it all through e-mail?
Thanks so much Mirage, I don't know what I'll do without my logger.

I cannot find help anywhere on how to use Hotsync. Do I need a driver on my PC in order for it to recognize my PDA so I can transfer files?
Please, if anyone can help me get some sort of temporary logging method before I can straighten things out with pocketlogger, I would be so greatfull.
Thanks everyone for your help.

There is a desktop client that will have hotsync drivers and such.
You will need a driver for your model palm (obviously).
I have the desktop client and drivers for a Palm M130, but I don't think it'll work with your M100.

I just got a used palm V with no software for the computer. I'm using the software disk that came with a palm m515 and it works fine. All the hotsync software is universal. KeltonDSMer, if you want, I work at the Soundtrack on 28th across from the crossroads mall, you can swing by and I can get you the palm software, mmcd and tunerstein.
