Ok now that we have the timeslips database on the site, I think its time for me to explain some of the new features of RMDSM.
1.) FAQ - In the next few months we will be populating this part of the site with various FAQ's for DSM's. So if you have something you would like in there please let us know.
2.) VbGarage - This is where you can post all the information about your car. This is best so when you post a question about an issue, each user can look at your list of mods and know what to expect.
3.) Quick Links - This is a drop down on the menubar which has various functions you may wish to perform. Such as mark all the new posts as read.
4.) Search - The new search layout is a little different than before. You can click search and do a quick search for a particular keyword or you can click in that drop down on "Advance search" and so something more specific.
5.) Timeslips - Just like before this is a display of all the timeslips posted in RMDSM. 12.999 and quicker must have a scanned timeslip
6.) User CP - This is your friend. In the userCP you can do the following:
Edit Signature - Edit your signature for all your posts. This will change your old posts as well.
Edit Email & Password - Change your e-mail address and password.
Edit vBGarage - Edit your car information
Edit Profile - Edit your personal profile
Edit Vehicle Profile - Edit your vehicle profile for the timeslips page (I hope to get this linked to the vbGarage).
Edit Options - Change various options such as being e-mailed on new posts.
Edit Avatar - Change your avatar
Edit Profile Picture - Add a personal picture of yourself or your car.
Private Messages Folders
Inbox - View your PM inbox
Sent Items - View your PM Sent items
List Messages
Send New Message - Send a new PM
Track Messages - Track unread PM's
Edit Folders - Edit storage folders for PM's
Subscribed Threads Folders
List Subscriptions - View which threads you are subscribed to and change if you wish to be notified.
Miscellaneous
Event Reminders - If you have an item on the calendar this is where you view the reminder for it.
Paid Subscriptions - This isn't what it sounds like. I have created this for those that wish to donate money to the operation of RMDSM.
Buddy / Ignore Lists - Choose your buddies and choose who you wish to ignore. Ignoring users will block their posts, pm's and e-mails to you.
Attachments - View all your attatchments
7.) Posting new threads - When you post a new thread there are some new options. One is to allow you to add attachments to your thread.
The second part is to pick how you wish to be contacted on a new post. Your options are:
Instant email notification - E-mails you instantly on a new post
Daily email notification - E-mails you once a day with all the replies
Weekly email notification - E-mails you weekly with all the replies.
This is just a brief summary of all the new features since the upgrade performed. If you have any questions feel free to post them here.
