this is all on mitch's car of course!
we have the TB on the car and now we are just trying to set the TPS. it is the 2g TPS by the way. we have the voltmeter to check for continuity and we tightened the TPS bolt down where it changes from 0 to infinite. then we checked the voltage between terminals 2 and 4 with the key in the on position and get 0 volts? we also get zero volts between terminals 1 and 4? WTF? this TPS worked fine on the car 2 days ago? what are we doing wrong?
*edit* this is all being done with a piece of paper folded in half 4 times for a feeler gauge (from RRE's website)
thanks

Its getting closer to be right. Idle is surging like crazy and is high even with the BISS all the way tight. Logging TPS with DSMlink should show 0v at idle and 5v at WOT, correct?

sounds like you are doing it correct......... but don't take my word for it, but what I can do for you is, I have a 6 bolt with 1G TB and 2G TPS and all works fine, you could use my car to see what is wrong with yours

You have DSMlink, correct? Could you log your TPS at idle and WOT in nuetral and tell me what you get?

Thanks a ton,
Mitch

idle is 1% could adjust to 0% but don't care too....... and WOT is 98% I tried to use the TPS adjust, but just couldn't get 0-100 I can get 0% and 97% was there at one point, but then bumped it when doing the fuel rail and it moved to 1%

think I answered your question wrong.........lol, how do you log V's? or does my throttle pos answer suffice?

I don't know....when I log TPS it comes up in volts per the sensor. But that's not the problem.....swapped the old TB back on and everything was fine. Need to figure out whats wrong with my 1G TB. Thanks for your help though!
