If you look in the timeslips section Mitchel63 has 380 whp and he is pulling 12.1 in the 1/4. You should be able to hit that 12.5!

Mine uncorrected was like 298 or something....12.5 is very doable!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 thousandths of a second is not even a blink of an eye.. Without the NLTS what do you think you would get? I am just trying to get a ball park of where I would be when my car is tuned.. But yeah that .005 is way to close!!

well, I am just using the clutch cut, not the whole anti-lag thing, but if you have a tranny that is able to "speed-shift" NLTS then it's no different, but if your tranny can't handle that, I would say it's a HUGE difference!!!

Does Mac Autosports have a tool to see how much one is knocking when they tune the car?

There is no "tool" that you can use to show "knock".

There are aftermarket knock detection systems like J&S, but all they do is react to a "noise" level based on sensor input.

The ECU knock filtering takes into account not only the knock sensor signal, but the crank position and other factors.

Only specific noise, at specific time is considered to be knock by the ecu.

Only "knock" as detected by the ECU results in timing retard.

The only accurate way of measuring true knock levels is to get it from the ECU, because it is what decides when and if there is knock.

I believe MAC has a set of "det cans" which is an electronic ear allowing the user to listen for knock.

As an interesting note, I have found that an experienced tuner can detect knock long before even the most sophisticated ECU based knock system. In a dyno session with several Porsche cars we were able to determine knock before the ECU, amid all of the extraneous engine noise in a Porsche engine. Porsche uses thier "Electronic Octane" knock sensing program, which is an extremely fast acting and sensitive knock control system. The trick is in knowing what to listen for.
