Just wondering if anyone out there knew if the GVR4 suspension parts are the same as a 1G. I'm about to pick one of these up from a friend who has coil overs on the car and I want to change those out for some KYB's and some regular lowering springs. Just trying o find out if I need to get some specific springs and shocks or not. Thanks

The 1G suspension has different clearances than the GVR4. I think its possible to use 1g AWD springs with some trimming in the wheelwell. Stock EVO 8 springs will work and look badass, they lower GVR4's and make the car ride better.

is a thread about a guy w/ evo 8 springs on his car as of like 3 days ago. If you're not a member of GVR4.org I'd suggest joining, lots of galant knowledge there.

If you're looking for a coilover setup for the GVR4 have a look here, coilovers/springs/camber-caster plates for 775, 12 miles on them, if i had the money they'd be on my galant right now :)...

Thanks for the info. I haven't joined GVR4.org yet. Just waiting until it's official. Thanks for the info. I really want to get rid of the coil overs, never really been a big fan of those. Just wanted something better, in my opinion.

Kyle those arent stock evo 8 springs. However for a budget suspension setup, evo springs are better then 1g awd springs. For the most part the parts are swapable. Ill post pics of the rear of my car with the un modified evo springs here in the next few days when I put them on. The front wont do any good cause I have the head off and the bumper support off...

Hey, did you ever get pics of your car with the Evo springs on there?

It was all cold for the week after i posted that. I have the rears on but my car is on stands at the time being, because I need to do some exhaust stuff. The fronts have to be modified to fit. Ill post a pic asap, but the fronts will be off cause my motor will be out of the car this weekend. i guess i could stand in the engine bay to give you an idea.
