Muffler help pzz

Well, the muffler I had on my 3" exhaust finally blew out. What are your personal prefrences with your mufflers for these cars? My 1g sounds like a ghetto DSM now, and I cant stand it anylonger. Does anyone have any suggestions? I hear the magnaflow mufflers are pretty good. What are you guys running? And if you dont mind my asking how much did you spend on yours?

On my talon I had a magnaflow 3" inlet and a 4" outlet sounded awesome. I'm not sure how much but go to Bud's Muffler and talk to Conrad. He does really good work too.

I had a 3in 4.5out on my 3000gt, got it for like 50 bucks shipped. Its those Megan Racing ones on ebay, I also just picked up one for the galant, They are a good muffler as long as you can get by the fart can look. Im painting mine black anyways but they are stainless units..

That's what I have. You have to get the Race series, as they are straight through with no baffles. Mine sounds great and has held up for 2 years looking like new.

I personally have the HKS Hyper muffler and made my own custom piping for the turbo back. I think the HKS and N1 have a cleaner sound to them, but not enough for the extra $120 I paid for it. My wife was very concerned about the sound of the car and didn't want it to have the coffee can sound, the HKS has a steady deep rumble with zero echo. Also, the more stock looking, the less your car will be looked at by law enforcement, always something to keep in mind. Goodluck in your choice, hope it sounds and looks great. Cost for HKS/N1 muffler is around $200.

I have a Magnaflow race series 3" inlet/outlet, sounds awesome. Very deep tone, not buzzy at all. HIGHLY recommend it.

I use a 3"inlet/3"outlet Oval style muffler from magnaflow.

Givin I do use a cat, it is still remarkably quiet for a full 3" system (02 housing to tip).

I highly recomend it.....smaller tip than on the stock EVO VIII that does not attract attension.

I recieved a compliment from my Domestic (Chevy) uncle about the sound of the exhaust note which is very nice comong from him.

Check this site out, I've had it in my favorites for a while... If I remember right it was like $125 shipped for many of the mufflers... prices may have gone up a little though in the last 2 years.
