I just recently put 235/45 R17's on my 1G. I thought everything was fine till I hit a few bumps at high speeds. I could hear my wheels hit the outer fenders. My drivers side was worse than the passengers side (it was starting to shred the tire where it hit the fender) so I rolled up the fender a little and tried to get rid of any sharp edges. But it's still hitting if I hit a good dip at high speeds. I'm wondering if there's a cheap way to fix this. I currently have Eibach pro kits with KYB AGX's and my rims are 17x8, +35mm offset. Can I add bump stop? Do coilovers have a minimum ride height adjustment? Any suggestions? Thanks

If you can adjust camber, you can tilt the wheels in more so that they tuck inside the wheel well when you hit a bump. Otherwise a bump stop would work, although you lose suspension travel.

235's are pretty wide for a dsm, especially if it's lowered, and it sounds like yours is. Is that all the way around? everyone else I know is running 225's at the biggest!

I think 235/40's would have worked fine with my setup. 45's are just a smidge too tall. Anyone know if any coilovers have an easy minimum height adjustment? Since I eventually want to go that route anyway.
