View Full Version : Dead MAFT?

I'm having a similar problem to the other post about the dead MAF, but my translator has a blinking green light after driving indicating a lost RPM signal (the RPM wire seems to be correctly connected). I also have not thrown any codes, so I assume it isn't the MAF itself. I think somehow the translator is malfunctioning. Basically the car runs ok with the stock MAS but hesitates badly under boost with the MAFT hooked up (blow thru). Plugs and wires are close to brand new (NGK, Magnecore), no boost leaks, and no knock but timing is pulled to about 12-15 degrees at WOT. Base timing is dead on. Has anyone else had a translator that doesn't work correctly? Would I need to contact Ramchargers to get it fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would double check for boost leaks. Check the throttle body elbow.
