Ok i need someone who can fix an exaust. I bought an exaust kit for my 02 eclipse and my mechanic says it was not made for the v6 but that i could get it fixed to fit. I heard of buds muffler but cant find their web page or phone number. Also can you guys help me understand what exactly is the differance between a mandrel and a press bent? Thanx

mandrel bents have the smae radius through out the bend... press bend or crush bends are smaller throught the bend because they crush the pipe to get it to bend

The easiest way to think of the difference between a mandrel bend and a press bend are to compare them to drinking straws:
A mandrel bend is similar to a flexible drinking straw.
A press bend is similar to taking a straight/regular drinking straw and then bending it to reach your mouth.
Now think about how much easier the flexible straw is to drink through, compared the the bent regular straw.
Hopefully you get the picture now about how a mandrel bent exhaust flows better, compared to a press bent exhaust.
A very basic example, I know (and not completely accurate), but at least a very easy analogy to visualize and comprehend.

Look in the phone book for either Bud's or Lakewood muffler.
They are in there.
