I don't know if you <i>HAVE TO</i> but I don't see why you wouldn't.

Duplicolor makes a paint kit too. its 14.99 at most places. I am going to try it on some 2 piston calipers I have laying around. It is the same as the G2 kit is seems. You brush on the paint and it leaves a glossy finish. From what I have seen the high temp paint doesnt leave a glossy finish.

I used high temp paint. And then a couple layers of gloss. It has held up well so far.
