Does starting a thread count as one post? If not i think it should, since there isnt too many active threads to post in. This would help me build my post count to a respectable level a little faster...I think its a great idea, and im sure im not the only Noob that thinks it is.

Feel free to shut my idea down...but i figured it was worth a shot. :o

Yes new threads count as posts. However posts and new threads in off-topic don't count.

People who are concerned about post count numbers are suspect trolls.

Ok sorry. I just feel wierd having 20 posts, when you guys have like 1,500+. But i guess it will come with time.

Who cares how many post you have. If that is all the matters to you then this prob isn't the place for you. I have been a part of this club since Sept of 2002, what am I up to 31.

Just relax, take in some knowledge and post when you need to, there is a lot of information in the search function of rmdsm.

It also might be a good idea to give the rules a once over.

Not sure how aggressively it is enforced now-a-days, but LOL and such is considered web speak. I am not a moderator so I will leave it at this.

"At RMDSM, we take pride in being professionals. Frowning on web speak is how we operate."

PS.

I am not trying to attack you, just trying to make your stay a pleasant one. You seem friendly and should fit in great.

I am wasting web space so I am done with the subject.

We go through phases of moderation. Right now we haven't had to come down hard on anyone.

We do frown upon webspeak and bad grammer. Everyone slips up, that's a given. It's when an entire post has absolutly no thought what so ever, you will probably get a PM from an admin.

Good composition shows intelligence and maturity. You're more likely to get your questions answered if you put in the time to research and compose a question in a manner that shows thought behind it.

You'll find if you came here looking for chat, it's few and far between. We tend to stay on the technical side of things. That's just how we are.

We are looking at bringing back the RMDSM mIRC chat. I know I would like to see it.
