Anyone running a cutout for track use? I searched to no avail. I'm considering running a 3" cable operated cutout right before the cat on an upgraded downpipe and stock muffler. Anybody tried this?
My main concern is getting to and from the track without too much attention.

Be carefull doing that cause you might get really bad boost creep. My friend took out his cat and ran 3inch with a muffler that didnt restrict much and he got creep pretty bad. Cant even imagine how it would be with basically no backpressure.

I believe there are few few variables to this equation, first off the type off boost controler. Then the type of wastgate and its condition, all in all I am also looking to utilize the cut-out system and see how it performs. I had 3" on my 1g but I disliked the noise factor and the thought of there still being unused power. An electrical cut-out system seems to be a versitile and cost effective way to go about an exhaust system.

I have a turbonetics regulator style manual boost controller. I'll be running straight C16, 550s, walbro 255, AFPR, SAFC, keydiver with a 14b(for now). A ported o2 housing, turbine housing and a larger flapper should help with the creep.
