Anybody running a driveshaft safety loop?
Did you just get a universal kit from jegs/summit and do you have pictures of the fitment?

I've had one on the 2g for years.
It's a "universal" style, fitment is fine.
I had to shorten and drill new mounting holes on one side because the floor pan of the car wasn't "flat".

I have yet to install mine.
I bought a universal bolt-in style (to aid in T-case removal down the road).
Looking and mocking it up, it won't be very hard nor will it require much custom fab.
This is on a 1g BTW. Hal's is a 2g.
When I install it (before the new engine goes in), I'll be sure to take some installed pics.

Cool, well I'm going to order one in a couple days, hope to have it on next weekend.
I thought they considered awd as rwd?
So you would need a safety loop at 11.5.
They just haven't tech'd you for it Marcus?

Jake and I installed the cage last year just before going to the shootout late last season.
I had not gotten a chance to get it teched at Bandi, nor was I going to go out of my way for it.
First off, there was NO such thing as tech in Norwalk. Dave can vouch for this. I would have been just fine without the cage for the rules. But for my own safety, I'm glad I have it.
When I ran the first sub 11.49 second run here at Bandi, I was expecting to get a notice or a warning about the tech requirements. I never did.
The only time I had to retech was when I lost my oil line midway down the track. They were only making sure I still wasn't leaking anything.
I never got teched for anything below 11.49 for last season. This season I will have to.
