Yeah, that's about what I heard today........ sitting at the tree, bouncing off of 6000 RPM's, last yellow light....... start slipping, she starts going, then CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUNCH!!!!!!! and rolled to the end. Didn't stop to get my couple min timeslip just pushed it passed the booth. ASSUMING TRANNY (car still runs) more specificly wouldn't be surprised if it was the center diff (AGAIN!!!!, Jack replaced that once already, should have got it built then by Jack). But won't know more till I can finish getting the tranny off tomorrow (doing it at the craft-shop). OH, BTW did I mention I am in Kentucky NOW!!! (school) STUCK like CHUCK!!! Still needing to drive back next tuesday. Cluch still feels normal, still kinda goes through all the gears, also makes a cur-plunck cur-plunk sound at idle, just when I try to start rolling takes a lot of RPM's then CLUNK and it goes (needless to say I didn't drive it anymore). Now options, well the only option I see is a Shep tranny, either mail mine to him, wait, then get it back, (not sure if that can all be done in a week highly doubt it) or just buying a new one from him. What do you all think? Jack drive out here real quick........lol

Shep seems like he is getting really good turn-around on his work.

Depending on the build and how soon you send it out, I think it is very possible to have the tranny back in time.

I think you would definitely have it in time if you buy the tranny from him and just have him ship it out without shipping yours in.

Based off your perdicament, you should grab any tranny you can get your hands on.

I grenaded mine last year and swapped in a Shep tranny. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it works fine.

I think I am happy with what I got, got a good one and got it here, not like I could find one here in hick ville anyway............ and I called all around to different shops here, and they didn't have a clue........ so I would have paid who know's how many hundred just to drive back, pull it and get it done right anyway

ps, it's a step up from their performance upgrade!! :) (not quit race though......lol)

I have a 4 spider from TRE about 3 years ago and it's held on my car through enough launches to turn a 2900 plate into a piece of paper.

1200 miles I turned it into fluff. 500 miles of super gentle break-in (other than dyno which doesn't put excessive stress on it). It was less than half the normal thickness when it came out.
