Evos LOVE nitrous even more than DSMs. On a customers car for example, 50 shot jets netted 90whp. He went from 323atw to 416atw back to back runs. JMHO but if I were you I would use NX over pretty much anything else out there, mainly because the quality and much of the bits are machined in Co Springs :)

Ya thats the kit i have. When you installed it before, did you adjust anything? I'm running 19psi cat back exhaust, k&n airfilter, afc2, and a few things here and there. You think im safe running a 50shot?

For a 50 shot all we did was swap the Iridium stock plugs for NGK coppers, but I am not sure that was really nec. We tested the car on the dyno immediately after install and the car needed nothing.

To show you how much they LOVE nitrous: Lucas was dynoing his EVO9, which at the time had only an ehuast and intercooler pipes, and decided for some strange reason to just open a nitrous bottle in front of the car sorta near the intake. Just waved it there, didnt add fuel or change timing or plugs or anything. The car gained 40whp with absolutely no ill effects- it didnt even go much leaner(which shows you how friggin rich these things are to begin with).

well im gunna use a wet single fogger kit. Not the intercooler kit this is the regualr single fogger kit. Similar results you think?

if you use a properly installed wet shot, a 50 shot should net you between 75-90whp. If it were me, I would test the shot on the dyno and dial it in from there with consistent bottle pressure. If you didnt get the bottle heater, that would be the first thing to add to the system. Inconsistent bottle pressure can be very frustrating.

i used nitrous on my 1st gen but i had a built motor at the time, i am mostly conserned with making sure a 50shot isn't too much for the stock internals. I'm going to be on 105 octane and the first nitrous pull will be on a dyno, you think i'll be alright?

I don't have a bottle heater yet, but hopefully i won't have to many troblems with that.. "cross fingers"

You should be fine.

I wouldn't push a 50-shot on a regular basis (daily) with the stock internals, but they're pretty strong from the factory (relatively speaking).

You should be fine if you spend some time on the dyno with it as you said you're going to do and get it dialed-in that way, versus on the street.

Thats the plan, the car ran 13.0et no nitrous and so my plan is really only to use it if there is a car that is relly quick on the street or, at the track.. So Dyno time 20psi race gas and a 50 shot. I think it should be fun 13.0 off n2o, what do you think i could pull with nitrous..

Faster than a 13.0. ;)

You should be able to drop a few tenths off your time.

You'll wear it out faster and it may eventually start to slip a little, but it should hold the power you're going to throw at it here in the near future.

Just don't launch with the nitrous at all.

Just make sure to give it enough time between pulls/passes to cool down.

thats about right. i had my about 5 inches from the throttle body with a 50shot and all was well.. on turbo cars its not *as* important to have it a distance because the boost will carry the fuel/nitrous well

on my buddies evoVIII over a year and a half ago we put a 50shot in, and on stock fuel, stock turbo and even stock exhaust (with chopped muffler). It ran a 12.0 All he had for a fuel controller was an s-afc. This is the yellow speedinjection car many of you may have seen running around a while ago. After that he ran the car on the street weekly with a 75 shot, no issues whatsoever.
