My t25 finally bit the dust and later this week will be installing a E16g on my 2g. I was curious if the Evo o2 housing will bolt up to the stock downpipe? It says it is a direct bolt on, but some downpipes require modification. If so, I will get it because it is only $105 dollars brand new from dsmparts.com otherwise, I will just stick with the stock one for now.

The angle where it bolts to the downpipe is slightly different.

If I remember correctly the bolt spacing is a bit wider on the Evolution O2 housing.

I thought the bolts where a bit wider, but wasn't sure because I had read it such a long time ago. I think I might just spend the afternoon and port my 2g o2 housing to assure proper fitting. Thanks guys

Do a search on here for 2g vs. EVO DPs and there are pictures showing how the EVO style is rotated and canted differently.

If you go to RRE's exhaust page they have many comparison pictures. It is canted and the bolts are wider. If you slot the bold holes on a RRE 2.5"-3" DP it will work but it is quite difficult to bolt back on due to the stresses of the canting. The flex section can handle it, but I hear that it is not something you want to do for ever. I assume you could have an exhaust shop cut the downpipe in two once it hits parallel to the ground and rotate it a few degrees and weld it back on. Or just get a RRE Evo III compatable DP. $130 I believe. Did you still need to buy a Evo III o2?

I don't need to get one. It was just a thought because I'm going to be replacing the turbo and manifold anyways and figured it would be easier to replace that at the same time.

Well I'll have a used one for sale pretty soon, let me know if you decide to go in the market for one.
