Is there more than one kind of transfer case for a 1g eclipse/talon? The person I have putting my tranny in says that the input shaft has a different amount of teeth. Any suggestions would be helpful. I wasn't awayre that there were more than one I could have.

Yes, the spline count changed.

However the transmission output shaft is easily swapped between transmissions.

Yes there are 22 and 23 spline or teeth. They did change in the different years

If you want I can just swap you out or sell one to you .I have all spline counts sitting here :)

Cool. You're a lifesaver, the car has been out of commission for years (various reasons) and I'm just waiting on the transfer case. I'll trade you, and I actually have two 22's if you need them both.
