Tranny output shaft

I want to change the output shaft on my tranny to a 23 spline shaft and i want to know all what i have to do to get the shaft out. Im talking about the one that goes to the x-case. thanks?

Remove trans end cover
Remove V/C retaining clip
Remove V/C
Remove the "ball bearing" from the hole
Slide shaft out

ok thanks hal, what kind of sealant should i use when i put the case back on and what are the torque specs.?
