Does anyone know what the differences are between the shifter linkages for the 95-96, early 97, and late 97 and up are. According to CAPS there are three different parts. The one I need 95-96 MB910538 is no longer being produced by Mitsubishi. I tried all the colorado junkyards without success. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy
What part are you actually talking about?

The assembly of two cables that run from the shifter to the transmission
The cables themselves?
According to caps, the cables changed along with the shifter internals.
You could upgrade to the shifter & cables from a later model or just snag a set of later model cables from the junk yard and see if they work without changing the shifter.

Now all I have to do is find an AWD 2G.
AWD/FWD should be the same

Go to a Chrysler/Dodge dealership. I had the same thing happen and the same questions a few months back. Chrysler is still making them.

I called them too, they said chrysler stopped making them as well.

I ended up cutting out part of the rod at the end of the cable that connects to the transmission. Then I threaded the rods and used a homemade coupler to reattach them. It shifts even better than it did when I bought it.

Well, I am glad mine are new now. That sucks that Chrysler stopped making them too. I better be careful with them or see how you did it.
