Awd gas tank

Would it be possible to switch the fwd gas tank to an awd one in a 2g so that I could have a straighter exhaust? I'm getting a custom one so i'm not worried about fitment of aftermarket exhausts. If anyone knows if this is possible that'd be great.

Under car unibody shape is different by what I remember. It will take quite a bit of custom fab or part swappage.

Honestly. I don't think it will be worth it for only a straighter exhaust. If you are going to do an AWD conversion though, that's a different story.
