I just moved back to the springs after being in NC for awhile. just bought a 95 Talon TSi AWD. I had heard of a guy that owns a shop and does really good work down on Nevada Ave. was wondering if anyone knew how to get a hold of him. Need some ideas for what to do first. Its pretty much stock except for the HKS turbo timer i put in it. Also looking for some people to hang around with. I know the basic mechanicals of cars, im just not that experience in actually Trying to make one faster. i had a 92 jeep wrangler before this..decided i wanted else. if anyone could help would much appreciate it.

thanks.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I havn't heard of any Co Springs meets but I travel to Denver alot and they have quite a few meets up there. Let me know if you need any help with the talon. I've got 2 91's, ones in the process of being "built" should be a nice solid platform to start with.
Anyways, i'm on AIM alot if you have any questions you can message me there at Docsdaname20001.

Best bet would be research the forums a lot and figure out your goals for yourself, before going off on questions. If you ask Jack what to do you can be there all night.

There are so many different routes to go. If you do need work done go to Jack, ive known him for a long time and he does great work and a great price. He got me into these cars about 7 years ago. I just started posting on these forums so he doesnt know who I am. LOL

If you read this Jack im Josh's brother with the other white talon. Has the custom two piece driveshaft, that should make you remember me.

Welcome to the forum; be sure to read the rules so you can have a long and productive stay here.

A great way to meet local members is to host a "work day" at your house/apartment. It doesn't have to be exstensive, even a boost gauge and some hot dogs would attract this group.

Since you are new to DSMs I would suggest searching our archives and then asking questions before committing to parts or vendors. A lot of new people buy from the first person on a Google hit; which isn't always the right person.

Thanks again to all who replied, i was actually thinking about buying some parts to do my first big maintenance job on this car. simple things like belts, plugs, wires, and maybe some of the hoses. (oil and rear differential looked ok when i did a check at my job) but when i get the parts to do all this stuff in the next couple weeks ill probably post a day when ill throw a "get together" so i can meet some of you guys in person.

Best place for OEM parts is Phil Long Mitsu in Motorcity. Rick is the parts manager there. If you tell him you're a member of RMDSM you receive a discount.
