I have a 2g and I did the 6 bolt swap but am having a problem with the tranny mounting up. I can get the whole thing to line up but one corner doesn't want to suck up right to the block. I was told that this would all work but looking into it more it seems as though the kiggly(sp) kit is the only way to do this. Can anyone shed light on the situation?

Because built right for the same power they're faster in the 1/4.

The torque converter has two sets of spline that need to engauge into the pump on the transmission.
Are you sure that the TC fully seated? I remember that being a big pain in the butt.

Well I talked to IPT and talked to a few guys on dsmlink and I guess I have to order the kit. I did the darn thing like 4 times and still didn't work so I broke down and bought the kit. Yes I did make sure it was seated all the way in and yes it was such a pain in the arse. IPT said that if you do it without the kit it won't sit the right distance from the pump and the kit has a space thats about 1/4 inch thick. Thats about the size of gap I have in the one side. With luck this works. Another good thing is that for some reason the flexplate would make noise until it was warmed up so the kit comes with a new one.
The reason I had this car was it was my first dsm and fun. Believe it or not that auto would scream. With the big 16g and stroker that thing would fly and then I didn't even have dsmlink. The good thing is when it shifts it keeps boost up so your never out of boost. If I had dsmlink it would have kept the timing up too but oh well. I have learned from steve that fwd is a pain in the arse.
Thanks for the help and comments.
