A while back my dad owned Speed Demons Performance across the street from the Police Station downtown and then at 222 Cucharras down the street. He hired a guy named Jeff that had a white 2g with gold magnesium rims, racing seats, roll bar?(I think), ran probably 11's-13's. Thats about all I remember. I think it had a body kit. I'm almost sure of it now that I think of it. I guess he sold the car for ~20k to some kid then bought it back for 30k when he had some money...thats about the time I drove it...
My dad doesn't know squat about DSM's other than they're "quick little cars". Well my first experiance with a DSM before knowing what the damn word even meant, was driving this very car and i'm VERY curious as to what was under the hood now that I know a little bit about them...
I asked my dad what was done to it and he can't tell me ANYTHING, He doesn't keep in touch with anyone from the shop anymore and i'm hoping that anyone that runs downtown might know a little bit.
From what I remember, Jeff lived out in the boonies a little ways. Er, maybe north C/S not sure.
Anyways, this was summer-ish of 2002ish so any of you older guys, hopefully you can tell me SOMETHING!

I'm just curious if you want to know because, you want to build one of your own, or if you are looking for that exact car to try and buy it?
Either way, you could just ask people here, or go to vfaq.com to find out mods that are done to the DSM cars.
If you are looking for that exact car, it's probably a lost cause, and would be cheaper, and more rewarding to build one yourself. That way you know what's in it. I hope this helped you in some way.

Wow....not the answer i was expecting...
I have no desire to copy somebody elses car. I want to know what was done to the car to compare parts to a normal handling and driving 2g.
I'm a 1g guy myself but I DEFINATLY remember how it drove and how the turbo felt.
I've been telling myself that he said it had a 20g in it but i think i made that up in my head...i'm not sure what turbo it was...
I'm not a NEWBIE by the way...so please, in as nice of a way as i can say this....dont treat me like one. :)
Edit: I know the VFAQ like the back of my hand. A few of the guys i talk to on here have dubbed me the search king...;)

That could be him...I'm not too sure of his last name...
So. You're looking for a guy named Jeff. Who worked in a shop. Roughly five years ago. And drove a white 2g. That had mods. And was quick. :p
What about checking Tuners, in the photo section? And seeing if there was a picture of the car and talking to that guy. Or, does your dad still have the accounting records from the shop? There might be a last name or some information there. Maybe he has the same phone number. ..shrugs... just some ideas.

It is Jeff Nance.
I'm not looking for a guy. I'm looking for the specs on his car. Apparently he only had a 16g some guys know him on ColoradoRacingNetwork.com...
I guess they also say it was a GST too...meh...

Sorry man, I wasn't trying to be an ass. I was just trying to figure out what you wanted, and give some insight. Have a happy day, and I hope you find out the info that you need/want.

No biggie. I hate telling people to treat me like I know something because then I come off Cocky. I don't know EVERYTHING, I'll never claim that but i'm not new to a combustion engine by ANY means.
I'm actually building a nice little car at the moment.
Thats a JE on Eagle motor with a brand new head with a few miles on it. Its coming together slow but its still coming together...
