I was looking to get a custom exhaust done for the gsx. What i want to do is have my 3in v-band expand to 4in with 1 02 bung and have it mandrel bent coming out the driver side front bumper area. Also I would like to route my waste gate pipe in the same direction. Any shops around here possibly able to do this for me? I would prefer this done in stainless steel.

I can do that- I even have some 4" in stock, but would have to order more in do do a complete exhaust.

Heck why not just post pricing for this. I am sure there are alot of people wanting to know what something like this will cost.

I've done some pipes like that for turbo V8 guys. It's pretty easy. How much power are you planning on making?

I will have the exact quote for you later today, have been a little busy and missed the call from my tubing vendor for the 4" stuff.

Hmm, you can make that on a 3" system. I assume this is going to be a race only car? I'm sure Don will set you up.

For cars making 400 and up we have seen gains on the dyno when using a 3.5 or larger exhaust, and I feel the drop in back pressure allows you to have much finer control over the WG.

Yeah, my brothers press bent 3" exhaust removal gave him an extra 2 PSI and around 15hp, oh boy!

4" bends are $40.00 each looks like there will be at least 3 needed.
4"tubing is 21.00 per foot, looks like about 3-4 feet needed
4" Vband flange is 89.00 for a single flange and clamp
Materials cost would then be roughly $293.00 plus tax

Labour is $75.00 per hour and on a project like this we will charge actual time it takes. My guess would be 2-3 hours, however this is highly dependant on your individual requirements and the current preparation of your car. It would be a lot better if you were to contact me at 720-212-5838 to discuss this further.

I can call no problem. also this is a 3in outlet on the turbo, so it will have to be a 3in vband...then the exhaust will expand to 4in.

Did you move to England recently? :p

Noted as to the 3" outlet, I have those V-band flanges in stock along with a 3 to 4" transition.

The labour thing is a holdover from a couple years dating a Brit girl who was a right sweet bit o'crumpet if I do say.

Do you have anything to fab off of? I dont know what manifold I am going to be using, but once I decide/buy one, I can give it to you if you have something to stick it on and fab it with.

Can you let us all know what you pay when your done? I am far away and don't have the time to drive that far to get a quote. Need an idea firsthand of what you pay and get.
thanks

Yea no problem. From the sounds of it, computer to computer it should be around 500 dollars. I also forgot to mention that I will be having my wastegate route right next to it. That is probably a 1.5in pipe...I dont know yet. Anyways I need to make sure he has a 1g with engine to prefab because getting the car there will be a problem. Giving him the turbo and manifold/wastegate is not a problem.

I have both 1Ga and b's to mock up on, as well as 2g's, so that is no issue at all.

the compressor housing is currently getting polished, and I believe this friday I should be getting my manifold.
