I checked on http://www.driveshaftshop.com/ and I only found aluminum driveshafts for the 1G's. Do they make Carbon Fiber anymore or can you only get them through ACPT?

Be wary of using a CF driveshaft in a high power 1g drag project. If something hits it even semi hard while under heavy load (i.e. launch or hard accel.), it will shatter.
The underside of a 1g is not very friendly to a 2 piece driveshaft and has plenty of points where the shaft can contact the undercarriage.
Aluminum, while not nearly as light as a CF shaft, will prove to be much more durable and will not shatter. It will bend much easier than a steel shaft, but is nowhere as near as fragile as a CF shaft.

If I do it will be a 1 piece CF driveshaft since they have been proven to work in the 3S cars.

They can't possibly work in a one piece on a DSM without massive modification to where the rear diff sits. Your angles will be too extreme.

Um, I don't think so bro..
Everyone i've ever seen gets a harmonic, but they take their chances. If you have any way of going to the 2 piece, I would highly recommend it. There are extensive KBA's on this subject, but call the manufacture. They will recommend the 2 piece in anything other than a daily driver.

Before you pop down the money for a 1 piece shaft (of any material), read up on "pinion" angles. How to set them, and why they need to be set.

Well I can buy a 1 piece carbon fiber shaft for $950 shipped or an aluminum 2 piece for $750 plus shipping. I had planned on making custom bushings to get a better angle in the rear, which I think will be enough.
