View Full Version : Cutover almost done

So far things are working good. We have moved the forums and migrated 90% of the data over. However we are unable to move everyones first and last names over. I'll post more on this item later.

Currently when you access www.rmdsm.org (http://www.rmdsm.org) you will be sent immediately to the forums. We are currently working on the frontend application that will tie the photo gallery, forums and any news together. I'm hoping to have this done by the end of the week. So for now enjoy the new forum and if you find anything that is not working correctly please let us know.

Yeah its been a long time since we've done a code upgrade on this site. Now that we are on a stable version that is able to be patched we can take care of updates easily.

Also most of you will notice the site is much faster. We are on a dedicated server at a local hosting facility. All hardware is maintained by the hosting company with 2 hour SLA's. So when I receive updates about changes or outages I will be posting them up.

Site looks great. Maybe it's my old eyes, but the blue print against the black background is very hard to see. I realize that when I place my pointer over each one it turns white, but for me I have to do that for each one to be able to read it.
Is there another color that would work, but not detract from the overall look of the site? If I'm the only, I'll just adapt.

Blue on Black is hard to read.

I agree with Fred, and am glad you decide to change to white. My blind arse could not see anything.

Well I tried to load the new front end and blew up the database. Luckily I made a backup before I did that. Looks like I'll be digging up my test box and figuring out why its being so difficult later this week.

Yeah the white on black looks to be working much better :).

Does look good though. The buttons are a bit hard to see, but I can squint for those. :D

Thats strange. I've received all my notifications from PM's and threads. I checked your settings and the server should be sending them.

Well I found the issue with the notifications. Now I just need to figure out whats causing them.

Hey, Dave. I just noticed that on the navigation buttons on the top of the page that "calendar" is spelled "calender". You might want to fix that before you get a warning.:D

Looks like the photo gallery is still inop.

I don't know if you messed with it yet, but the e-mail notifications still aren't showing up to my mailbox. No biggie, but just a heads up.

The photo gallery I should have fixed this coming weekend.

The maillog shows the email was delivered to your account. Might want to check your junk folder.
