Well guys, my fiance and I finally bought the house. Since I'm new to the area, and have no friends here yet, if anybody would like to stop by sometime and chat I would really enjoy that. I know a few that are in the area, Dave, Marcus, Jake (sort of). PM me if you guys have nothing to do, and maybe you can stop by, or I can come over. Does'nt matter.

Congratulations on the new house. Where abouts is the new place? I work in Denver (just outside of Aurora). I'll have to swing by after work one of these days.

JP, Dave is in your back yard and I'm really only a short jaunt away (4 miles or so). You're welcome to come over any time man.

At least I only have to drive to work twice a week. Otherwise I'd probably still have my old CRX that got 45 mpg.

Congratulations on your home purchase, looks like you bought at a good time. Funny thing, I live around Tower and Orchard and didn’t realize there’s so much DSM love in the hood. I drive a white 89 mirage turbo with the original decals still intact. What color is your car?
Oh man!! Almost forgot, Arapahoe Sheriffs are all over the place around here. Might want to mellow for a while until you see the patterns on their locations. Arapahoe Rd, Orchard, Smoky Hill, Tower, Buckley to name a few.
The way I look at it when it comes to fwd, traction is just for guys who can’t man up to torque steer.ha/ha!

...well thank you for the tips. To be honest, I take my car to the track to get my excitement, not the street. FWD's are certainly cool, but the fact of the matter is: I wish I could transfer to an AWD platform. I feel that it takes just as much size in the ball-sack area to drive either/or.

The tips were more meant for everyday driving then the other kind. I put about 10k on my pile a year (no problems). My wife on the other hand has already gotten two warnings and a ticket since last June and she drives a friking mini-van!! I pulled out one of our kid’s chalkboard to demonstrate what her problem is and it’s all good now, the swelling and black eye went away fairly quickly given my advanced age.
I’m kind of sorry to hear about switching platforms, but I understand. The mirage had a near death experience when I spotted a nicely built 90 tsi for sale at a great price. I decided not to buy so I could give guys like Davis a half a chance. I certainly would like to see your car and the changes you’ve made to it, if you’re up for that?
Davis, tell the truth!! Did you forget to snug up some bolts? Or did you really sheer them off. Either way I say we save some pieces, make a nice necklace out of them, then give it to Steven. Now I’m really LMAO!!

J.P., even though I was in the Marines (a long time ago), I never was able to develop a taste for beer...although I tried:).
Now a days I go for margaritas or wine, but if you have Coke or Pepsi or even water will be fine.

Hey - New to the board. I am 16 and have a 98 Eclipse GST. Just about finished with the new engine, waiting on a new Power Transistor and were done. My dad bought it from a kid that raced it on I 25 and blew 5 holes threw the block - even cracked the housing on the starter..... I Live in the SE Aurora area as well off of Tower Rd.
Anyone ever go up to the Sonic Car Show on Friday Nights?? Looking forward to taking my car up there. My dad has a 69 Mach 1 as well.

Congrats on your baby boy! Just realize that the admins will start giving you warnings for mis-spelled words, improper grammer, and bad punctuation. I believe you can have 3, then you will be put in time out....:D

any aurora guys have a portable air compressor that is capable of working a da sander thtat they would be willing to let me borrow it for a weekend? i plan on sanding down my car and getting it in primer.
i have some spare body parts from my 93 that i could possibly give to any one that is willing or i have a walbro 190 also to give for the rental i guess you would call it instead of borrow.

Magik, your shift key is your friend. Also, there is a spell check button available. Punctuation is favored here and makes it easier for everyone else to read your posts.
