Whew, well I managed to squeak off a 10 second pass today. That was my very first run on slicks and only run on slicks since I don't have a cage. The staff was cool and said if I took the slicks off they had no problems letting continue.

1.813 60'
7.238 @ 102.47
10.995 @ 134.44

There is definately room for improvement since I finished the car at 6:30 this morning and have only one pass with the slicks. Right now I'm just happy with the results so far and still just trying to soak it up.

Oh, and on the street set up I managed a 11.933 @ 128.87 @ 24 psi.

The car weighed 2130 lbs with 1/4 tank. It was 2490 full interior.

I'm gonna add a cage, up the boost and get a better tune in it. Then try to back up my 10 second pass.

Jesus, I bet that's a fun ride on the top end :)

That's 1200 lbs lighter than my 2g!

There are cadillac's lighter than your 2G... of course they also have fewer amenities.

Yes, I've never denied that. Whats odd is that it was 2135 before doing a 10 lb ligher flywheel....and I only lost 5 lbs on the scale. Then again my belly is getting bigger, I've gained almost 30 lbs in the last two years...time to go on a race season diet.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm still a little shocked myself. I thought I might be able to break into the 10's later in the year with a few more mods and seat time. Now I'm in a difficult spot. I have a second kid on the way and don't want to chance anything so caging the car is a must. I didn't budget a cage till the beginning of next season so I'm trying to sort things out finacially. I may just have to run the street tires for the rest of the year...its real consistent 11.9-12.0 and no worry of getting kicked out.

Hell yeah! Good Job, another in the 10's! I can still remember years ago when a bunch of us were "dreamer's of 12's". I want 10's also.
