Looking at the weather, I doubt it.

Yes. Most likely with the DR's. The Centerline CLL-3475707445's and Hossier 17310's don't get here until later.

What happened to the slicks?

Tech was cool with letting me run them the first time. He pulled out the rulebook and then took me to school on the short bus. I’m not real happy with the wear pattern anyway.

See ya Wednesday, you better come back from the turn around with a warning or I’m going to have to start poking fun at your superior traction awd.

I thought other than the extended studs, you were ok? Those lug nuts that come with the rims are NHRA legal if I remeber correctly. What are you gonna do with the other rims and slicks?

You’re right they are legal. It was the length of the studs that’s the problem. After talking with you and Davis and knowing what a pain the captured rotor is I’ve decided to try a different set up. I’ll try to fit the good slick on the new rim and check the fitment, if it works I’ll get a new slick for the one I destroyed.

The new wheels and tires look really promising on paper, but it’s a csm so who knows for sure. The center line wheels are 15*7 with a 5.67 backspacing instead of the 15*8- 4.5 on the welds, and their one piece so maybe the stud length won’t be a problem. The new tires are cheater slicks that are ¾” smaller diameter, section width is a 1” smaller and the contact patch only shrunk ¼” or so.

Maybe when you start/finish the bar/cage thing we can hang the koni/gc/fatties on your ride and dare I say, see a sub 10 sec pass???

LOL, sub 10 second pass....not for a while my friend. I'm pretty realistic with this car and I think after adding the weight of the cage the 4g61t and 50 trim will not produce enough power to scamper down the 1/4 mi in under 10 seconds. I do think there is a chance to trap 140 though...we shall see.

I'm more than willing to help you with the extended studs if you like. Even better,If you were to just bring me the knuckles, I could quickly press them apart and install the studs.

You never know, maybe. Who in their right mind would guess that your pile could nail down a sub 11. Thanks for the offer of help with the studs, but I’d rather know you’re spending your limited free time working out the details for a cage or at the track.

It looks like I can still use the slicks for a while. They fit great on the new rims.

I ran a best of 13.2 at 110 with the DR’s and anti-lag off.
