As many of you have heard PPIR is reopening Labor Day weekend.
NASA is the featured organisation.
PPIR was puchased by a S. Carolina group and Dave Balingit of NASA Rocky Mountain negotiated to be the group that would be featured.
This is the event not to be missed. If you've ever had a hankerin' to drive, join NASA and sign up for HPDE. Make it soon, because I'm sure it will fill up fast.

This is something I hope to attend.

Julia's O2 melted her harness. Depends on how soon I get the new one, and if I can manage to find the time to get it changed.

Depending on another event that *may* be happening out of state I might attend. Otherwise I'll hopefully be in California :)

Well, as the O2 got hot enough to melt the entire engine harness, I am waiting for the the one I got to come in so I can change it out. But I would love to at least be able to bring the Talon and possibly be able to have Julia out to drive :D.
Mike
But, heres to hoping

That's a bummer, Mike. I hope you can get it repaired.
I had to have my Talon towed home from PMP ($450). I ben.t the driver side knuckle. $626 later:eek: It was replaced by Bear Frame.
Now I think I have something loose in the trans. I hoping to get it to Jack this Fri. More big bucks!
And it's not even a turbo.

I did manage to get the harness changed, now I am just needing a logger cable to pull the CEL it is throwing so we can avaoid the same problem from happening again. We will see if I can get those days off.

I thought you had a logger cable that you used w/the M100.
I'm getting my trans back from Jack Thur. so hopefully I'll get it in and running this weekend.

Hopefully I can make one of these next year. There's no way my brakes and cooling system could take even one lap right now.

Get rid of that "nasty" turbo, put in an N/T and your brakes will be just fine.
You don't get going fast enough to use all your brakes. You can use your hand brake.:D
Look forward to seeing you next year.

Bah Seth, just put some killer pads and rotors on there, some good brake fluid and come run some TT's. :)

Yeh, leave it to Jake to be practical.

Me? Practical? Fred, put down the drugs man :)
We're finishing up some small pieces on the car in prep for this race. The most annoying is the exhaust cam seal is leaking a little and needs to be replaced. Other than that, the new splitter and some strakes will round out the aero changes. And...gasp...mirrors ;)

Jake, what class will you be running? Do you have any NASA events on record? If not, I'm guessing you'll have to start in HPDE3. If I do it, I'll be in TTS.

If he starts in HPDE 3, he'll have to see if he can keep up with me!:D

I'll be running time trials. I was assured that my license would transfer to NASA just fine.

Ah, ok, I didn't know you had a current license. Everyone else usually has to do some sessions in HPDE3 or 4 first before being allowed in TT, because NASA TT allows open passing unlike SCCA.

What if you have a NASA competition license?
I might not have a real "racecar" avail to run that weekend, but I'd like to maybe take my street car out there if I get it done here in the next week or so.

If you have that license and it's up to date, then you should be good to go.
You need to check the Rocky Mountain NASA site for sure.

I don't have a NASA license but I was told mine would come over just fine.
