I was wondering if you were going to run Dave, come hang out with us!

That's a big 'ol negative Chris. My daily is just a daily. I'd stand a better chance in the automatic Durango. :-D

I will be there to support and help out, also filming. Shawn is just about ready too. He's planning on attending.

I'll be there, I think I'm also going to race in the one of the heads-up classes. Sure I can't go below an 11.5 without getting kicked out but I'd rather help fill one of these classes than add to the brackets and end up sitting at the light for 7 seconds while a n/a honda struggles to get to the 660 before I suck him in.

I will try to pit with Seth so save me a spot.. Jim.

We'll hold a spot for ya. I'll have a green tent and probably a white tent up as well.

I'll also have a charcoal grill, so if anyone wants to grill up, you can certainly use it.

Well couldnt get to 10's. I was just blowing the tires off in first gear.

First round eliminations
I managed to get a 11.283 @ 126.83, 1.739 60' I short shifted into 2nd and 3rd on accident.

Second round I was against Steve Tasca I treed him, but my shifting isnt as good as his and he drove around me. Spun like crazy and got sideways in 1st.
Went 11.308 @ 127.71, 1.803 60' Picked up 1 mph just reving it higher.

Drove 30 miles there and back and didnt break, not a bad weekend.

Congrats on the runs!

Thanks!

I'd like a 10.9 before the end of the year, if I can get one good launch, it will do it.

Nice Seth! Any plans for getting a little more tire than what you have now? Sounds like a set of drag radials might be of a little help.:D

I was there......my best run was 14.8 at 95mph :( 14b-lovin at 19psi.

I was in the teal/blue 2g. My 60ft sucked 2.4 :(

First time ever at the track so I was happy with my 14.8 ha ha!I saw a lot of Dsm's.

So who was there??

jmakado
09-07-2008, 11:46 PM
I was there. Trapped 109.8 on my first pass. Street tune. The track was WAY sticky and I bogged bad. Second pass I went out of the groove and had a good launch. Snapped a shift cable going into second and limped the car home...about 60 miles with just 1st 3rd and 5th.

Not for this season I dont think. I may switch to a 82.ar exhaust housing, but I dont know if that will happen before the season is over.

Good day yesterday. Glad to see all the normal faces, and meet some new ones. Car felt pretty good. 20psi on 91 octane still. Car was launching very well.

1st run (time trial)
60ft: 1.675
E.T.: 12.732
MPH: 105.73
Same MPH as before at T&T, but faster on my ET. Of course intake temps were 90-120 yesterday and at T&T a few weeks ago they were 125-155 during my pulls.

1st run (time trial)
60ft: 1.719
E.T.: 12.730
MPH: 105.79
Car was running strong and after two identical runs I knew my dial in.

3rd run (12.7 dial)
60ft: 1.660
E.T.: 13.352
MPH: 83.56
WIN
Blew him out of the hole so bad I was sandbagging at the 1/8th mile

4th run (12.7 dial)
60ft: 1.792
E.T.: 13.184
MPH: 90.91
WIN
Same thing...blew him out of the hole, sandbagged at the 1/8th and just made sure he didn't reel me back in

5th run (12.7 dial)
60ft: 1.705
E.T.: 14.225
MPH: 101.23
LOSE
Car fell on its face in 2nd gear. Felt like I dropped an IC pipe. I'm running speed density (AEM EMS) and it didn't make sense that it fell on its face like that so I dropped back into the gear and everything was good only he had now passed me after I had ripped him a few car lengths out of the hole. I started to reel him back in and actually still beat him as he ran a 14.227 only his dial was a 13.3 so he go the win. Looking at the logs I'm not sure what happened. My load just drops in the log right after I hit full boost. No knock, nothing. Still not sure what happened, but it was a fun day. If I had made it out of this round I would have been in the quarter finals which was money and a trophy.

Luckily Kenny kept winning and went into the quarter finals and got a trophy and some money so the day wasn't a complete waste. It was fun hanging with everyone and checking out some cars I haven't seen yet. Hopefully next year I'll be able to bring the '97 back into the mix at bandimere. For now I was glad to get back into the mix since it had been a few years.

Erron, I hope you got some video of those launches. :p

I had a great time! Decided to run heads up and after my first pass on the street tires, I said screw it and went to the slicks and risked getting kicked out.

First pass on street tires was a 12.0 @ 127

Second pass was a 11.34 @ 115 on the slicks and braking...they didn't say anything.

That placed me second in extreme tuner class agains Marcus

First round I killed him at the light and got out really fast, cruised to an easy win with an 11.56 @ 108 mph

Next round was against the top seed, I botched the launch, couldn't find 3rd and found the vacuum line came off the fuel pressure regulator, however, I ended up running an 11.36 @ 128. I still had fun, didn't get in trouble for running below 11.5 and nothing broke so it all worked out.

Wow, that could have been bad.

I was hoping you'd go 10's again, I ran down trying to watch your last pass.

Track was garbage... Everyone was spinning off the line. Mark & I usually cut low 1.5 60' all day with the drag radials and I am pretty sure neither of us could get out of the 1.6 60' on Sunday.

Congrats to Mark!

I was watching via the Bandimere live timing.

Not quite the same, but it was about all I could handle considering it was day 3 of a bad migrane.

I'm glad everyone had a great time!

That's the truth. In the stands you could see the track down to the concrete. I saw them spray VHT twice the entire day.

sbiggi
09-09-2008, 10:51 AM
Well, there was only like 20 cars running slicks/dr radials? and a couple hundred ripping the rubber off the track.

Hey, where are the photos and videos?!

Erron Spalsbury

I'm going to load them today. I'm just busy making the worlds stickers.

Which, by the way Seth, would you be interested in a sponsorship for the '09 season?

Man what great video!! Thanks Erron.

Bobby, so sorry you have to go out to the track with your hands tied. Still it was nice to see and hear you break traction in 3rd trying to catch Seth. He drives his car well and the both of you have earned a special place on my shat-list...
