I have this posted on other forums and I'm getting a group together for a T&T at Bandimere before the season starts. I need 40 participants at $80 each for an 8hr day with 6hrs of track time. let me know if you would be interested. All cars are welcome so please tell your friends!

I talked to Larry today from Bandimere. He has me penciled in on March 20th and March 27th. So I think we will shoot for the 20th and as we get closer to the date if the weather is gonna be bad we'll re-schedule for the 27th. If you can definitely make both days I'd like to start taking payments of $80 each. I think the plan is for me to get a bunch of tech cards and basically sell them for $80 and that will be your ticket in. Payments will be either by cash, check for $80 or PayPal for $82.75. PM me and I will give you my address.

Your car has to pass tech and can't go faster then what it's tech'd for or you will be told to stop running. If this happens obviously there is no refunds, just like any other T&T day.

If you definitely can join us and are ready to pay please PM me for payment instructions.

After more thought I think PayPal is the best option even with the $2.75 charge. I'm keeping all PayPal payments in my account until I need to pay Bandimere this way if we have any issues or don't get enough participants (highly doubt it) I can easily refund your PayPal payment in full.

Please send your PayPal payment of $82.75 to scubastevesti@q.com . Please let me know your username and from what forum in the PayPal note box. Thanks everybody!

-Steve

I already paid, I'll be there. Running same setup as last year, try for some 10.9's while the weather is cooler.

That's a little high isen't it its only 30 on tt nights for 4 1/2 hrs wouldn't 60 be more fare i want to go but that is a lot. even there all day bracket racing is cheaper.

You get a whole 3-5 runs in on a Test and Tune night.

This is a private track rental, you will get more runs then your clutch can take. you will be able to make a pass and then make another pass again with no wait..... all day long.

To Seth's point, don't compare gate cost.

Compare the cost per pass.

Events like this are always a better bargain because of the potential for a lot of passes.

That's why I prefer day test sessions or events like this.

To be specific I've seen Erron make over 20 back to back passes on a day like this. It's well worth the money.

From the original post. Looks like at least 40 to me to begin with. :D

Normal T&Ts have hundreds of cars and you'll be lucky if you see a pass every 45 minutes.

He's going for 40 to start like said above and still deciding how many to let i think there will be 80 tops and even with 80 you just drive in circles the whole day if you wanted too...

If you guys don't have your cars ready for this one, there will be another one June 5th.

www.coloradotrackday.com

Bandimere charges 3200 for 40 racers and 80 each after that when you host a private track day. The benefits as mentioned is there's no staging lines. Just drive down to the tree and you're off.

I understand 4o but what is the max you will take? If hundreds come then it would be no different. and be a lot of money. Thats what i meant. I really want to go and have fun money is just tight now. Also what about my friend and my girl. Can they watch if so does that cost to?

Yes you get a timeslip, staging lights and all that, just like any other time you drag race at Bandimere.

Spectators are free.

Normally, private track days are capped at 80 people. Even with 80 racers, there is no staging lines. If you want to see proof, go to coloradotrackday.com and look at last years pictures. There was 70 people signed up. Drive straight down to the tree.

02-12-2009, 06:09 PM
So you drive to the tree with no staging ok im new sorry so the tree will work and we still get our slips. Good without a slip i could not tune. Also 80 racers max thats what i wanted to know.Cuz like you said why pay 80 if there is to many people. So it dont matter who comes to watch then there free.

I've let your posts slide until now.

We have a grammar rule and you are expected to adhere to it.

Have you noticed that everyone else manages to do it?

I dont think so, he is trying to collect all the money up front to ensure there is enough to cover the track rental. Right now it looks like there is 20 people paid up.

Other than I don't really like drag racing that's a week before a very important race for us. So if I have time I'll stop out to support people but I'm not taking the car out there.

Fred, I'm going to try running RTA this year. The car is almost ready and we'll have a solid week and a half of testing before it gets trailered out to California.

I'm ALMOST there. The Baer brakes are on, but I need to order streetable pads.
This weekend I'll put in the 1350 BlueMax injectors. I tried running E70 on my Denso 720s and at lowest boost they aren't big enough.

If I can track down someone selling a t-case before the 20th/27th then count me in too! (let me know if anyone is selling one, it needs to be from a '91-'96 23-spline manual)

I made it up and ran the car.

Thursday night I tore some tendons in my knee playing indoor soccer, I cant twinst at all on my left leg or my knee comes out. Lovely.
I could still use the clutch though, and my knee didnt swell up, yet anyways.

First pass I took it easy, didnt launch, just made sure the car was running good. Had lots of knock on my race tune for some reason, had the boost up pretty good.

Second pass, switched to pump tune. Lanuched the car just free reving. 11.6 @ 126

Ran a bunch more times, adjusted the clutch pedal, and clutch swtich. Messed with boost.

Best run I ran a 11.4 @ 127.5.
Best 60' I had was a 1.706, and thats on the all seasons I've had for two years.

I tried turning the boost up, but the fuel system doesnt have anything left in it, leaned out in 4th gear and had lots of knock. So that about as much power as I can make on a single Walbro 255hp.

Didnt break anything and ran as good as last year, so a successful outing for me!

Seth, I did some filming between my runs and I got your 11.6 at 126 pass and a couple other people I don't know. I'll put the films up and post links. It was just on a digital camera, so the quality isn't great and the zoom is probably insufficient to see the actual times.

I was in both lanes, during the 15 passes I made. I was in a black 93 colt with lots of traction issue. The 2 best runs of the day were 13.400 @ 118.58 and a 13.472 @ 120.17

I think I might have raced you my second run. That was the run where I raped my tires in the right lane (because the jerkoff spraying the water box soaked the whole track in water and I had to drive through it) - I was in a silver 96 Talon and ran something like a 13.4 at 116mph.
