This is a little late but last Wed, I ran my new personal best time up at Bandi! First run ever with Tylers slicks and I cut a 1.52 60'! I actually ended up short shifting the 1-2 because I was expecting the car to spin and the rpm's to be bouncing off the rev limiter! LOL, but ended up running a 11.192 @ 126.6 mph! For the second run we up'd the 2 step to 7000 to try and cut a 1.4 60' and due to me not checking the tire pressure (which we found was at 30psi! after this run) and the track being pretty slick from a whole lotta sun on it, the car spun and still somehow got a 1.56 60' and ran an 11.191 @ 125.7mph! So after figuring out about the tires, and dropping them down to 20psi and waiting for the car and the track to cool down. I go make another pass. Had the car on the 2 step for a long time and pre-loaded the hell out of the drivetrain and launched at about 13psi of boost and the car hooked better than anything I have ever personally felt! It was kind of hard to breath the car hooked so hard! But it seemed that it was too much for the tired old drive shaft thats been making noise for about a year and a half now and it snaped it in half at the CV joint part near the rear. I went to get my timeslip from my 29 second run just to see what the 60' time was and my side of the slip was blank:mad:. I'm confident that the car would have went 10's that day had the driveshaft not broke, and its only on a little garret 57trim turbo with no nitrous!!! I'm so excited to get that first 10 I cant wait! All I need is a little more seat time and to man up and commit to no lift shifting and its there!

p.s. How or whom do I talk to about changing my screen name on here? I no longer have a 90 blue gsx lol, and on all the other boards my screen name is the MilkMan. Thanks

Congrats, on the 60' and the E/T.

Sucks about the drive shaft, but as long as you're happy with how you did... that's all that matters.

Damn dude....nice run!

Is your tranny built? Surprised that driveshaft held up to a hard ass launch like that at all considering it was on the way out.

Good work :)

Nice pass! Looks like you need to make a call and a small payment to D.S.S.

Nice 60' s

What ignition and fuel setup are you running?

You guys are gonna hate me! The ignition is bone stock save for some 7es's and ngk plug wires that are 2 years old! No lie! As for the fuel system another shocker as it is all stock with a wally 255 in tank and 1150cc fic old school injectors. Even running the stock fuel filter and all. I've never had an issue with either system so I've not seen a need to change or complicate things. My car is the epitomy of the keep it simple stupid phrase and it seems to work seemlessly for me time and time again. I've also just replaced the drive shaft with another stocker junk yard piece as where it broke is not even changed with the DSS units. If it breaks again I'll do the same! And yes my tranny is built, I work for Jacks in the springs so I gotta have one of our trannys! Thanks for the complements guys! Hopefully I can get back to the track soon and get my 10.99 or better slip!

Cool, I'm on stock ignition, fuel lines, filter, fpr, with fic 1150cc and 255hp as well.

I'm out of fuel trapping 127-128. If I turn it up, it just leans out.

I also had the same issue when I had my 61mm turbo on the car. With the 57 trim though, we are just running the boost line to the top of the wastegate so that it never opens and the turbo makes all it can make. With this turbo on a 2.3 with a .63ar turbine housing with a P trim wheel and DKS 272 cams, the car/turbo will only make around 25-27psi of boost. Good enough for low low 11's though and hopefully 10's soon!!

Here's the vid guys. I'm supposed to run that hatch in the video as well here soon, so we made a pre-race video. My 11.1 run is at the end of the vid. Enjoy

Wow man I was there and saw that. I was in the talon and asked you for the spark plug socket. You drove it all the way on front wheel drive rite?
