I wanted to see if anyone else wanted to go to this. I'm finally going to take the Talon to the track. I think I will run in the Street E.T. class.

What's going on on Friday? I know the test n tunes started for Wednesdays but didn't know about the race on Friday? I May have to try and make it to this. Is it a USP event?

Negative, Ghost Rider. It's the Quaker State ET Series. You could race in the Street ET, Sport Compact, or Trophy/Jackpot class. I've changed my mind, I think I'm running in the SC class (gives me a chance to tree the sh*t out of most of those drivers) :D

How much is it to run? And is the SC class heads up? Sorry so many questions, but I'd really like to get into some heads up racing this year and because you said you'd like to "tree" the hell outa those guys I'm assuming it is. Thanks for all the info.

There is hardly any "real" drag racing out there anymore.

More than likely the ET series is a bracket style setup.

If you want to run heads-up, you'll need to look into Street King series (or similar) or USP.

All of the Friday night, Saturday night series races are some form of bracket racing By what I remember).

You can still tree the hell out of the other driver in a bracket class...:D

Seth, do you think you can make it?

I wont be able to make it.

My alternator "should" come in tomorrow, but then I need to install and what not.

Damn, well looks like I'd better get to work on my cage and make it up to some of the USP races this year! I'd really love to run in some of those heads up classes. Bracket racing is alright in it of itself but I like the pro tree better and I think heads up is just more fun for everyone, even spectators! Unfortunatly I dont think I'm going to make it tomorrow either as I have to work all afternoon. Good luck to all that are going to run.

If you want a pro tree and a good value in terms of cost per run, check out the "day test" events.

More expensive than regular T&T, but you have more track time than any other event.

Well, the car went down the track twice for time trials before we got rained out. Consider this before responding:

15psi
91 oct
untuned @ WOT
fwd on 215/45/17 street tires

Pass #1

14.3 @ 109
2.8 60ft

Pass #2
14.1 @ 107
2.5 60ft

First pass, no 2-step (severe bog). Second pass, 2-step @ 4000rpms (traction retarded)
After the second pass, I noticed some oil in the coolant. Although, no coolant in the oil. Investigation will commence.
