I would love to go and have been planning for this race for a long time . My mother passed away suddenly at the age of 83 and now we are funeral planning. There will be more opportunities this season for us to race together and see what everyone has done to their cars since last season. Have fun and see you next time.

I sure hope to make it out. I just need to track down a L/REAR axle for a 95' Talon TSi AWD (with ABS, but my ABS has been deleted, not sure if you can run NON-ABS?)

Just put on a 16G EVO 3, and a tubular exhaust & O2 housing. Put on the SBR FMIC, 3" GM MAF, SAMCO silicone Rad. Hoses, 3mm revised lifters, and got it tuned at "Racing Trenz" on E85.

Stock internals, but pushed out 326HP & 336 FT LB of Torque. Was all happy & was having fun with it for a day, then I did a launch & I was bouncing off the two step, slipped the clutch & BROKE A L/REAR Half-Shaft!! I should take a pic, crazy shtuff, broke it at the spline.

It was an old axle & I already re-did a CV boot on it, it was going.

Anyone have any spare axles laying around they wanna sell?

I have tried everywhere, no one sells them, some can order them but they won't be in for 3+ days. Trying to hit up "Street Tuner Mayhem."

PM me if ya got one.

Hope to be counted in on this one.

So far I messed up my two qualifing runs. I did trap 130mph into a nice stiff head wind.

Was a decent day, I took 2nd for the USP Street.

Not sure what happened, but my clutch decided to not fully release on the final pass. Missed 2nd, got back in it, thought I had a chance and missed third... and that was that.

I just couldnt get a pass with a good launch and all clean shifts. If I wheel hopped on the launch, I grind 2nd gear. So I guess I'll put in the rest of the prothane mounts.

Times I ran:
12.431 @ 128.27
12.186 @ 130.30
11.598 @ 131.11
11.352 @ 128.58
11.967 @ 130.51
15.179 @ 68.75

Now to figuer out what up with the PTT.

Had a blast, nice to see everyone!

Seth, as always, nice passes! Its too bad Bandimere does not make the trap speed stickers anymore...:(

240addiction, were you there on friday too? I could have sworn I saw your Colt there on friday. Nice passes too! Congrats!

How could you miss it? shit paint and bubbly tint.
ya. I was still working on getting the car to stall up right and the last pass I figured it out and got my all time best 11.928. Yesterday was the day I got it dialed in.
except the first pass the rest of my runs were.
11.653 @ 118.63 ( my current personal best)
11.718 @ 117.73
11.691 @ 117.69
11.737 @ 118.06 (red lit pretty bad)

best 60' was 1.804, but the slowest was 1.855

the only change from friday was about 1-2 psi, the 50 trim really comes alive after 25 it made all the difference.

for an 11 second car ( I can officially say that now :D) I would say .08 difference in all runs is pretty good. I would have competed in your class Seth, but I don't weigh enough (2800 with me in it).....but I was cheering for you, your car has some serious top end on it.

I was there as well. I saw one run of you Seth and the Colt as well. Great runs guys. The crowd gave a 'hoorah' when the colt ran. I don't think anyone was expecting it to be that fast. LOL

240, I showed everyone at the shop your two videos. All I can say is, we all were laughing so hard. A few of the guys at the race shop don't know very much about today's performance world. They are mostly guys in the quick 16 and super gas classes, hence: anything that is not a big block and carb'd is not a "race" car. They thought the colt rocked the house.

I was there. I wasn't having much luck with 60ft times and/or shifts to second. I won't bother to talk about my ETs. I trapped at 101mph on pump, I was hoping for 105.

Hopefully I can hit that goal of 105 on pump because I want to switch to E85 but I'm not going to until I meet my pump goals. I'm going to do a boost leak test and install my NLTS clutch wire soon and try to hit a T&T in July. I don't have any indication of a large leak but I have my suspicious about a couple small ones maybe (like the crushed 1G BOV)- the car was pulling 32/lbs according to DSMLink but it just doesn't feel like it.

Anyway it was good to see those that went, it's been years since I've seen some of you. I'm enjoying being back in the local DSM community.

My only regret is not seeing anyone else run, I was too focused on what I was doing. In some cases Chris and Jim were right in front of me and I missed their runs entirely because I was staging. Ah well.

It's good to have you back Josh, especially with a DSM that doesn't have jackstands under it. Nothing worse than a DSM that's down. It just makes you hate them. Get out there and rock the shit out of that 2G :)

This is key, at least for me. That's why I'm never taking this car down for long builds. Everything is going to have to take a weekend or less. My motivation just drains the longer something sits there being completely useless. With my old Talon it got to the point where I may as well not have had it- and so I made that happen!

This car also looks better than my old 1G which is very motivational.

We're right around the corner from you doing what you want. Just a few changes here and there and you'll be all smiles Josh.
