Sounds like fun, if I get my rear axle fixed (I snapped the spline where it goes into the knuckle), even slipped the clutch, I will try to be there.

My car is apart, trouble shooting my clutch issue.
I did find out it is only worn .004", so that is good.

Good luck to anyone who does go!

Unless I'm mistaken this was just a regular Friday night series bracket races. They have them on Saturdays too, but it is a separate event (Saturday series bracket races). It is fun for anyone who wants to practice their dial in racing, but I will tell you that if you've already missed the first few races don't plan on catching any of the point leaders by end of season. Just go for the fun each night.

Kenny and I raced these like 6 or 7 years ago. They are fun as hell because you see a lot of the Bandimere regulars and their bad ass cars. It was always amazing to me that some of those cars could run so fast and so consistent. For anyone else wanting to hit one of these here are the dates for this season.

Well, I discovered the limits of my tranny today.

4000rpms on the 2-step + insane wheel hop = broken tranny

I realize everyone has their own ways of doing things, but at that low of RPM on the 2step it doesn't surprise me at all. Especially at the track and in a 2.4L to boot. You might get away with that launch setting on the street, but Bandimere is less forgiving. I broke my center diff there at an IDRC event 7 years ago against Erron S (Bluevelocity) on a cold day with a low launch setting and that is when Carl Morris talked me into using higher launch settings. The higher you launch the faster you'll get out of the hole he'd tell me and I didn't believe him at first, but now I do after trying it myself.

Next time set your launch for like 5500 RPMs or 6000RPMs and you'll have more spin than hop and save your tranny, transfer case and axles at the same time. Then all you need is to lower your tire pressure some (if you're spinning too much) and you'll be getting out of the hole like no tomorrow.

My setup (not that it is for everyone) is 6000RPM launch with my all seasons down at 22psi and my NLTS at 6000RPMs too. Gets me a 1.6-1.8 60ft time...everytime. :)

I hope your tranny isn't as bad as you think it is and you get it fixed fast. I know of all the things that can break that is the one I don't want to break cause I can't fix it myself.

That only works to a point. When you start making too much power on a clutch that really clamps like a twin all you do is spin your tires and you're right back into the 2.0 range of 60's.

Well, I am a FWD. If I launch at at anything above 4K, I boil the tires.:D

I will end up pulling the tranny this week to evaluate the damage.

My bet's on a diff spider gear :)

If you need a diff or two, I have like 6 here at the shop.
