This is $500 crap can racing at its best. Even guys and gals without previous racing experience are invited to compete in this race. The full rules are details are posted at www.chumpcar.com.

The race here at PMP is a two day, 7 hours per day enduro.

You have plenty of time to prep a car, the race here in Colorado is 27-28 March 2010, Pueblo Motorsports Park (Pueblo, CO)
Entry Deadline: 10 January 2010

This is a series created for the racing enthusiast where not the biggest wallet wins. It's all about fun, comradery, and comedy! Even if you don't run in the event put it on your calender to come watch. This is something you just have to see to believe.

I'm thinking certainly Sunday this week, maybe both days but I'll let you know about saturday as we get closer.

We should be complete this weekend and ready to test for next weekend. When we go to our test days, we need all available drivers and crew members. We need to practice driver swaps, refueling procedure, tire changes, and proper portions for good tasting margarita. (extra salt bishes, I mean it!)

I cannot believe it, but our car is finished! (mechanically and safety wise anyway) A few of us wrapped it up on Saturday and made sure we're good to go for testing. I took it for a drive and I like it. It should test fine, drive fine, race fine.



Only things left are graphics/numbers/theme additions/chumpify. Testing to come if you the snow will stay away.

This might be a stupid question, but does chump car require valid dates on helmets, fire suits, etc? I only saw them mention seat belts needing dates within 4 years.

I tried to use my motorcycle helmet last time I was at Bandimere and it was too old so I had to borrow one and was curious if chump car even cares.

Yes, certifications must all be current.

The rules are pretty clear about what is valid for each aspect (helmet, restraints, etc).
