I have a FWD 1g 5 spd trans in my mirage now and I am wanting to put an auto trans in it due to not being able to make the 9700rpm shifts anymore.... I will be running the manual shift box as this is mainly a drag car, that sees weekend street driving. Is it possible to switch from full line pressure to normal pressure easily? Im not running a tcu.
Also, I have read people asking about the mounts and if they are the same, but those people all have awd, so how it mount up for a FWD?
I am making in the ballpark of 480whp and 330ftlbs uncorrected. Will the clutch packs be able to hold that?
What is a good high stall converter to go with, that is not that expensive. I can always use the stocker, and give her some squeeze to get outta the hole...! lol, it will happen.
Anything else I may be over looking??
