View Full Version : Remove both rear half shafts?

HOW? I can't seem to find the right combination of things to unbolt, take apart to pull out the assemble to get old out, new in......... forget it, maybe I will just become the worlds fastest 3WD! hahahahhaha HELP!!!

Unbolt the 4 bolts on the axle cups. Remove axle.

If you have never removed them they tend to rust around the outter edge to the cup. Hit them with some PB Blaster then your BFH

This is on a 2g. The procedure is quite different.

First off. Good luck with it if there is any sort of rust on the inside of the wheel hub.

Other than that, there are really two ways that you can pull the axles out somewhat easily.

Remove the rear diff. Along with that, the axles.

Remove the rear hub. Neither one is easy, but it will make it easier to get them out.

Both of you, TY, but both of you specially know me, and know if I haven't done something once before I am dumb on it. So, dumb it down a little, cause I have no idea what you're talking about. I tried to come at it like I was doing the fronts, but yeah, no luck.
