well Dave, sense you and i have left, the Bowling nights have died and same with the Hamburger Stand. I have been asked what is going to happen to the HBS now that im gone, i told them that saturdays from about 6pm - when ever every one is welcome from RMDSM and CODSM EXCEPT people with cars named QUADZILLA how bout you and i start up the weekly DSM meeting at the hbs again??? it had quite the turn out all summer long last year and i think it will be the same this year.

The Hamberger stand was a great idea. It didn't seem to be an official meeting though. If you didn't have anything to do you just went up and hung out. I think one reason (the obvious one) that the Saturday nights at the hamberger stand aren’t going on is because it is winter. Not to mention a lot of people are doing major work on their cars. I also think that once spring comes around people will have an interest in the Hamberger stand again.

yea the winter was one of the reason... but the main reason that it wont happen again is be cause at least 5 of the main members that where there week after week are no longer members of codsm. This includes but not limited to: James Powis (ME), Dave Landry, Meghan Bell, Jen and Cody, Quinn, and a few others. James LaMere was the one who organised the first meeting and Dave and I more or less took over because James has work and family, He still went about once an month, and it was his wish that when the weather was nice that there be a few dsm's there every saturday. It was great because there was good lighting, kinda good food, and we could loiter all we wanted. The area arround the Hamburger stand was beautiful, and well there where dsm's reaking havok all over the peacefull town of Lakewood.

Yeah, I miss hanging out with everyone on the weekends. The HS is an excellent choice during the spring, summer, early fall, but it's just too damn cold out at night to stand out there and chit-chat. I'd like to see the Fat City outings started again. Beer and bowling go good together! :D I'd just like to see some official meetings going on kind of like the Ft. Collins guys are doing lately every weekend. Maybe we could meet up at Old Chicagos off of Wads and 88th then cruise around and pick on some rice boys and Mustangs there in Westy, then alternate and do something down in CS or over in Aurora on other weekends?

that sounds like a plan. a different city every weekend.
every saturday at 5:00 there is a car show in COSP. every generation of car you can think of shows up. muscle cars, trailer queens, classics, imports. we try to park right in the middle of all the muscle cars.:D usually its just Patrick and I, and acouple of the supra guys. the ricers are on the out skirts getting laughed at.
anyone planning on going to the shootout this year?

Maybe I'll drive down one day. Sounds like a fun little gathering...

Sounds like fun to me.
In the spring we should meet up some place (Denver people) and all caravan down together.

That would be sweet! Back In Iowa, where I used to live, there was a place that did the same thing every Saturday night, but it died off over winter then picked back up again around April. Me and my best friend would park our Talons amidst all the Mustangs and old Hot Rods, ricers never bothered to show up, and there would be the occasional RX7 or Supra. We'd get laughed at sometimes but there were always people that wanted to know about DSMs.

That's a great idea. Maybe we could meet somewhere around Highlands Ranch off of I25/C470?

The springs sat night sounds like a cruse-in. There is also a cruse-in in arvada, every kind of car imaginable. I don't remember what night of the week it was though.
