Looking for a decent set of 16" tires

We're needing a set of tires for stock 16" rims off of a GSX. Jenni's brother is coming to get the car and drive it back to Missouri the end of this month, but he's getting some 17" wheels/tires in a few months, so he doesn't want to spend the money on new tires and I don't trust the ones that are on there now to make it to Missouri. So anything with decent tread that'll last for a few months will work great. I would prefer that all 4 tires are of the same brand/model and that the tread wear is close to the same on all 4, but please let us know of any possibilities.
