With the upcomming race season almost a month away, I've been waiting to see a few more pictures of the nitrous install on the Landry family's car's... & yes I meant plural:p *Nudge nudge*

Would you be so kind as to give us a break down on the parts/cost so those of us who arent worthy can see how/what it takes to run laughing gas correctly;)

Any goals for the season? I won't even ask about predictions as that can be a curse:eek:

To do it *right* isn't all that expensive... but I've got some pretty pricey *luxury* items on my setup.

I'm not going to list prices, simply because I don't remember all of them.

Nitrous Express 80004 Direct Port (wet) (with jets for 40 psi base fuel)
*jetted for 150 shot
*the N2o computer will control the actual shot... anywhere from 40% to 100% of the jetted shot
Longer steel tubing (the stuff in the kit is too short)
AN 37dg flare tool (to flare the s/s tubing)
Gen X 2 upgrade
*heater
*vent tube
*pressure gauge
Race hose (instead of braided stainless)
Remote bottle opener
*"rocker switch", does both open and close operations
N/X N2o computer
Mallory window switch
*controls the min & max rpm for the N2o
*uses "dials", no "pills" like the MSD version
Bottle blanket
*snitched David's for now
Lines and fittings to move the pressure gauge to the center console (in lieu of the cigarette lighter)
AN -8 hose and fittings to extend the vent tube to the side of the spare tire well
N2o purge

All switches (except the purge button) and the N2o computer
are installed in the center console "box". Not to hide it, but because that's the only place to put it where it was within easy reach.

I'm using the mechanical throttle switch, but I am considering switching to one that operates based on TPS voltage for better reliability.

When I put the system together, my focus was on performance AND reliability... which is why I chose direct port over a single fogger.

I expect to do my "tuning" this weekend. The only unknown right now is how well the Supra fuel pump works. I know it will be good for at least the 75 shot. If it doesn't hold, I will add an in-line pump (S/X).

I expect a solid 11.0 @ 128 on a 150 shot. :)

Thanks to the DSMLink, I can tune it (for knock)... no room for error with this setup.

Hal

btw - on an "untuned" (fuel/timing adjusters set to 0) DSMLink... it reports 430 hp (off the bottle)... do the math :)

Oh is that what that little triangular nozzle was on my throttle body elbow :D .

I'll be doing a 75-100shot fogger on the talon later this year. I'm in no hurry to use it since I need to get the car dialed in first. Next year I might do a direct port like Hals....
