How hard it is to install the Upper IC pipe? Also, how would you go about cleaning out the IC? I still have thte stock one and I doubt its very clean. If theres oil and crap in it that would keep it from working well, wouldnt it?

first, have you taken out the stock airbox? you can't fit an after market UIC pipe in unless you have.

second, i would say it only takes about 20-30 minutes to change out the UIC pipe.

the last time i cleaned out my IC i took and poured a little gasoline into it. swished it around and dumped it out. did it a couple times, until nothing but gas came back out. be sure to let it dry completely before putting it back on the car.

the best way to keep oil out of the IC is to install a catchcan off the valve cover.

I put on a K&N cone intake some time ago so thats not going to be a problem.. BTW - Mad props to Dave Landry for solving most fo teh damn problem with the MBC, now we just have to get the thing adjusting properly.. Heh, funny how much fast the car is with 17psi than it is with 20. Its really amazing...

I have no idea what fo meh is supposed to mean.. Anyways, just got word from Extreme that the Greddy Type-S BOV is on backorder and Greddy is waiting for a shipment from Japan so it may be another week or so before I get my parts.. Grrr... Oh, and I need to install an ACT 2100 - anyone feeling like earning a little cash? I would need it installed in one day, if its possible to avoid taking several days to do this, since I dont have another car to drive... I'd pay of course for your services...

Before you get the bov, consider what UIC pipe you want to get. Some come flanged for certin bov's. I know my Buschur racing UIC pipe is flanged for a 1st gen bov. Might save you money on an adapter later on.

Also, if you are going to put on a UIC, I'd suggest picking up a throttle body elbow gasket...just in case.

When I put on my UIC, my gasket broke taking the elbow off. Set me back about a day to go to the dealer and get a new one. Just didn't make it back into town. :)

Otherwise, it very straight forward...
