I have talked to some of you about this, but I cannot figure out why I keep smelling oil. The smell only occurs after a longer drive, or after I am running the car really hard. I checked underneath the car and cannot see anything that would indicate the head gasket is leaking. Valve cover gasket is ok. Any other ideas?? It also seems to have gotten worse since I got my oil changed last saturday, which I find really weird. Thanks in advance!

the guys who changed your oil (if you had someone do it for you) might have spilt some and it ran down the side of the block. There are alot of little places for oil to pool up under the intake mani. It could be just burning off. If you don’t see a drop in your oil in the engine and you see no signs of leaking I wouldn't worry about it. I remember reading posts on the 2gnt board about people having the same problem. I don’t think anyone ever found a source.
The only other thing I can think of off hand is it may be coming out your crank case breather (blow-by). If that is the case it would be recycled back through the intake mani. The smell could be coming from your air filter. Check the inside of your aem intake and check around the throttle body for oil. If there is oil then that is probably the source.

Thats what I thought too was blow by. I took the intake off and there wasnt a drop of oil in there. Like you said though, if I cannot find oil then its obviously not that big of deal. Thanks
