Ok, I just installed Skunk2 coil overs with Tokyio shocks, and the upper control arm is hitting the inside of the wheel well. Is this a common problem? I am thinking of shaving off the outside lip of the control arm and the inside of the wheel well. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

How low did you drop the car?

I dropped it about 1.5". I borrowed a grinder from a friend and gound down the lip of the control arm. It clears the indside of the wheel well easily now. Luckily I didn't have to grind the wheel well at all, or take a hammer to it! 8^)

I did make a mistake with the shocks incase someone else can learn from my mistake. I was using a grinding wheel to grind off the brackets on the shocks, and I ground down too much of the weld bead (where the coilover sits on the shock). I tried to get a shop to weld a new lip, but it wasn't possible so I had to buy another shock. After borrowing a hand grinder from a friend (Thanks Dave!), it made all the difference in the world.

I want to drop it a total of 2", I placed the cut bump stops on the wrong side of the top spring perch. Once I put them on the correct side the total drop will be 2".
