BOV Flutter?

I have a turboXs type H. It sounds fine at higher boost 5+ but on 3 and 4 lbs it kinda flutters in a way. Not a big swoosh sound like it should. Is this because I have my spring set to loose?

What should I do to fix it???

I'm having the same problem, for the same reason. It's partly because we're venting atmosphere, so it's harder to regulate the release of pressure, but we don't really have a choice like the 4g63 crowd does.

Also, the TurboXS Type H is the stiffer one, right? It can be set between 10 - 25psi. So right now the spring might be a little stiff for your low boost, causing mild compressor surge.

You can try to loosen the spring a little bit, but make sure you're not leaking at higher boost. Otherwise there's not much you can do except try a new BOV. I have a Blitz Supersound and it does the same thing. My roommates call it the "rattler".

How much vacuum does the BOV need to open? Get out your vacuum pump and verify. It may be too tight?
